For soil applications we have two products currently being used to enhance fertiliser products and mixes. These are ProFert Dry and ProFert Liquid. ProFert is sold to fertiliser companies and is a microbial inoculant that enhances fertiliser efficacy in the soil. ProFert Dry is a Soil Enhancing mixture of quality natural materials which have been carefully fermented using our liquid microbial inoculant. Unlike the decomposition process, fermentation of organic matter conserves much of the energy in the constituent components of ProFert. This means that there still is a lot of energy available in the ProFert which is available to give to the soil and the plants and organisms in it. ProFert Dry has been developed so our microbial inoculant can be used inconjunction with dry fertilisers and be easily distributed. ProFert Liquid is the liquid version of our Dry product and can be used in suspension fertiliser mixes, through fertigation or directly mixed with liquid fertilisers.
How Does ProFert Work?
The function of the microbes in ProFert creates a more efficient use of added nutrients, generating a better growth response from fertiliser inputs. They do this by solubilising nutrient compounds to make them available for uptake by the plants root system, this also includes compounds previously unavailable to plants.
Research has shown that soil treated with ProFert has increased in fertility by:
- Stimulating nutrient transfer in the soil
- Increasing the soil organic matter content and available nutrients
- Providing nutrients and stimulatory compounds to growing plants
- Improving the soil porosity and permeability
- Increasing the micro-biomass of the soil
